Week 1838
A quick word on what is represented:
1.) Each horse is "Ranked" by their "Rating" number, this number is each horses past performance  
window and represents a "projection" of the Speed Rating, that the program believes each horse  
will achive under today's race conditions.    
2.)  The "Wake-up" ratings are designed to measure each horses improvement in the last ( 5 ) races comparing  
certain running and training trends/patterns factored in that have been shown to enhance or adversly effect a horses ability
Note *** … These ratings are an evolving ongoing project, which I hope will "highlight" horses that show suden dramatic  
improvement and/or that have sudden negative form reversals.  
3.) The Type columns show the running styles of each horse, so that the "Pace" shape of the race can be  
readily understood and utilized.    
4.) I've included a "short" race overview, that hopefully will reveal some insight on how I/m betting each race.  
5.) My Selections:  Each race I'll highlight several noteworthy horses and point out the criteria relevent to score in their  
respective race.  
BREEDING RATINGS … ( only available in 2 & 3 yr. Old Maiden contests )
1.) These are my newest contribution, the breeding ratings are a sort of "CLASS" rating based on the ( 5 ) most recent  
SIRE influences,  the ratings incorprate sire cost and Mike Helm's "Exploring Pedigree" class ratings,  and are meant  
to be guidelines, NOT ABSOLUTES in evaluating each horses class !!!  
note *** if a horse has a "NA" rating that means either a "Freshman" Sire was used or there was no Helms rating available.
2.) FTS = First Time Starter ratings evaluates how "precocious" the horses sires are.  
A rating of 50 % is average … over 60 % is EXCELLENT    
3.) Turf = Turf ratings show the amount of Turf Influences in a horse breeding.  
A rating below 45 % means the horse hasn't much turf breeding    
A rating between 45 - 49 % means the horse has some turf influence but will probably perform better on dirt !!!  
A rating between 50 - 55 % indicates that a horse has a fair amount of turf breeding and will probably be balanced on each  
surface.  
A rating between 56 - 65 % indicates a sigificant amount of turf breeding and turf will probably the horses dominant surface.
A rating above 65 % indicates that the horse was predominately bred for TURF !!!  
4.) Stamina Index is an approximation of a horses probable "PEAK" distance (in furlongs) with regard to it's Sires influence.
ie … a rating of 6.50 indicates the horse should prefer Sprinting … a rating of 8.25 indicates a horse should excel  
at Intermediate Routes … a rating of 9.75 indicates the horse should prefer longer sustained Route races.

OVERVIEW A real endurance test,  usually the horses that come from off the pace have an edge … but there's a couple pretty good speed horses too !!
TOP RATE Looks like the conditions fit # 9 Rally Cat perfectly ,  if # 6 Lethal Turk can rate off the lead a bit her speed would be better utilized here !!!
CONTRARIAN My contrarian pick is # 5 Silver Miner,  her CLOSING STYLE should be well suited here and she's been improving with each start  !!!
LONGSHOT # 4 Rainbow Prospect II 12-1 is really well-bred and looks to be much better suited to the turf,  # 11 Counterintelligent 12-1 really "Perked" up on the turf ... big shot here !!!

TOP RATE # 3 Forsaken Storm really has terrific breeding and his debut was 1st rate,  has the look of a "champion" !!!
CONTRARIAN # 6 Crusade For Green doesn't have the regal breeding, but he's sure got plenty of early speed and may not look back here !!!
LONGSHOT # 12 Quality Song 12-1 really hasn't run a bad race yet and must be respected here … # 8 Orkestral Manoeuvre II 10-1 rallied for a nice 4th place turf finish may improve here !!!

LONGSHOT # 5 Scene Stealer is versatile, lightly raced and improving and at 12 -1 may have a decent shot here if the speed doesn't hold up !!!

LONGSHOT # 8 Hanging Horseman 11-1 showed blazing early speed last race, distance may be a problem here … # 7 Chocolate Warrior 7-1 is the "lone" closer, likely to get a slice of this purse !!!

CONTRARIAN # 12 Dermond is still eligible for this condition as he's mostly run in stakes … will the class drop help, it should ???
LONGSHOT # 13 Sea Bee T  16-1 "bounced" after his last BIG effort 10 week # 1789 a return to that form puts him right there !!!  # 1 Lt. Slew 14-1 is a former Stakes winner ... been on layoff for quite awhile ???
