So here we are, the week we have anxiously been waiting for.
The circuits all lay it on the line, and give us Race 11 of the Turf Equinics Races, The John Henry Salute.
John Henry came into this world in 1975.
No doubt he has become one of the greatest legends in horse racing.
He sports a remarkable career record of 39 Wins, 15 Seconds, and 9 Thirds out of 83 lifetime starts, in which he tallied up an amazing $6,591,860.
He will always be remembered as of one of racing's greatest.
Now, let's look at the field who will race in his honor:

Comes in off of 2 disappointing efforts against Graded Stakes competition. Had a 3 race Winning Streak going before that. Has definitely flashed great ability, and if he shows up with his A+ Game, could grab a check.

# 2 GOLDEN SPIDER

Odds: 23/1
Another who is coming off a pair of dull races. Won a small Stakes 3 back, but that is his only Stakes win. Seems a bit outclassed.

# 3 CORONADO'S HONORS
Record: 51-14-11-5

Jockey: G Mitchell
Odds: 38/1
Has an excellent record, but only 2 of his wins are Stakes. Consistent Claiming/Starter Allowance horse, really taking a step up against these.

Odds: 8/1
Hasn't won a race since Week 935. Does boast 5 Stakes wins to his credit, including a Grade II win, so he does have the ability to race with these. If he's at his best, he could be a contender.

Prepped beautifully for this. Has 5 Stakes wins to his credit too. When the dust clears, this guy could be a major player if there's a lot of speed up front.

Odds: 4/1
Co-favorite. Has an outstanding 7 Stakes wins behind him, including 2 Grade III wins. Has tons of class, and a great jockey to boot. Usually a recipe for a strong showing. The one to knock off.

# 7 IN A GENERAL TIZZY
Record: 15-7-3-3

13 out of 15 in the Top 3, with 4 Stakes wins, including a Grade II. Very versatile as well, racing up front or coming from behind. Looks for a piece of the pie.

Has an awesome 6 Stakes Wins behind him, and he's a Grade I winner. However, he hasn't been able to win since Week 1173. Might be a little short right now, and timing is key.

Is taking a big step up for this. In the money 31 out of 52 times, and won 7 in a row at one time. Can he pick it up come gametime?

Comes into this in EXCELLENT form. In the money 8 of 11, including Stakes, and is lightly raced. Could be a definitely sleeper in here if he can step it up.

Last race was a bit disappointing against Graded competition. Has a couple of Stakes wins to his credit, but may be just a tad outclassed here.

In TERRIFIC form right now. In the money an amazing 31 out of 40 times, with 3 Stakes wins. If he can retain his form and is at his best, he could play a big role in here.

Co-favorite and absolutely in raging form right now. Sports a great 39 out of 49 in the money record, and picks up leading jockey M Day. Also has 5 Stakes wins, including a Grade II. Huge factor here, and my pick to win it all.

# 14 HUGE TALE
Record: 40-18-12-0
Trainer: Tfv
Jockey: K Brett
Odds: 6/1
Has finished 1st or 2nd 30 out of 40 times, unbelievable. But, it gets better. 16 Stakes Wins! AND, 2 Grade III's, 2 Grade II's, and 7 (yes 7) Grade I victories. Has all the class, has talked the talk, and walked the walk. Reason why he'll lose? Jockey has an 8% winning percentage, and hasn't seen the Winner's Circle yet this year. Not the best guy to have in a Grade I race.
So there they are.
On Saturday, one of these will be crowned King for the Day.
