Very even runner, with a stakes win and some moderate speed figures. Can grind, but will need to step up a few notches to catch this field. Good rider helps.

Razor sharp horse has been dominant at a mile in his last two. However, looked terrible at 8.5f which was also a graded race. Needs to carry form into this race. Doesn’t look too encouraging.

Monster longshot has terrific rider coming in from Dubai I believe, but doesn’t have a chance in life to beat this tough bunch. Will do good to beat a few in here.

Extremely talented rider gets on this longshot who has woken up nicely in his last two. Speed figures aren’t flashy enough to make a big impression in here, but will get a call early in the race.

Beautifully bred colt has a moderate rider on board and comes in here with 7 wins in 11 starts. Has gone this distance before and has done it impressively—including a graded win. Has been unchallenged in the stretch both 9f races. Has slightly less class than a few in here, but may be tough if he had some more left in the tank in both races at this distance.

Good rider should help out this beautifully bred horse out. Has the speed figures to compete, but a lack of stakes seasoning some of the others have. Looks to be really itching for this distance too. I like this horse, but 5/1 odds are a little short for this one.

Wonderfully bred, but mildly talented horse will need to come up huge to make a check in here. Moderate rider in the irons, but too many detriments to over come to get in the money.

Another blue blood here, but another with only mild talent. Didn’t look good stretching out past a mile. Will need to wake up real quick in order to have any real chance against these.

Broke maiden at first asking with ease, but has not been good since then. Will need to make a extreme improvement to win here, but the stretchout last race didn’t look too promising.

Now here is a horse that downright scares me lol. Has major talent and flashed it nicely in his first 2 races lifetime. Both races were easy wins at this same distance. His daddy knew how to get the job done going long on turf. Seems he is a chip off the old block. Extremely juicy price at 23/1. Easily the DARK HORSE here.

It is an all or nothing world and this is an all or nothing horse. Multiple graded stakes winner seemingly will have no problem with the distance and will be stalking the early runners. However, he is an all or nothing sort and the last time he faced a field like this he got handled. I’m gonna be BOLD and say he gets nothing this race.

Oh how you gotta love the namesake. RAY OF PYE (or ROP as I affectionately call him) didn’t make me look like I wasted my 500 points last year. Prepped last time out and is SHARP for this going. Unfortunately ROP’s only other race sharp was his terrible bounce in the Nationwide Stakes. However, he got a nice prep after that and ran well in the BB Juvy Turf. Should get the distance, but is he a winner? I hope so!

Here is the mystery in this race. It always seems like this horse always needs a little more ground. Thus the name fits very well lol. Has won a Grade 1, but has also been far back in several races. Which horse will show up? Too iffy for me to back for the win.

Respectable grinder has taken advantage of some fairly easy graded races. Has shown an obvious shyness for the winner circle, but has gotten a check every race. Looks good for a check, but not the top 3.

Another undefeated horse in here. Untested against tougher, but has wowed me beating the easier. Looks prime for a stretchout and is tantalizing at 25/1. A definite shot in the exotics.

The 16 post is a major tuffy, but someone has to start from there. At first glance this horse looks like nothing, but speed; however I had the pleasure of calling the BB Juvy Turf and this horse looked terrific against tougher. Another all or nothing sort, but deserves respect with his fastest race to date being in a Grade 1 at the farthest he has gone. 16 post really hampers chances.
The Bet: Key the 5-12 with the 1-6-10-11-13-14-15-16 for a few bucks. Play the 12 horse across the board and box the 5-12 for a decent amount. Wanna try for a triple? You can figure that out for yourself lol, I sure as heck ain’t gonna try to sort it out lol.
