Johnny Dekeyser was born in Ostende Belgium. He started his career with an Apprentice Championship, was leading Jockey on Wins in Belgium where he won a total of more then 700 races.

His most outspoken victories were with Big Blue, with whom he won every great race in Belgium and even The International in Belgium. In the international circuit Johnny was also succesfull, winning big races in Holland (Dutch St Leger with Tofino), Germany and France where he won in Vichy with Northfield Dancer a quarte race at 99/1 for the famous Belgium trainer Jerome Martens. In the beginning of this decade Johnny moved over to Spain, to Mijas, where he won also all great races with Diamond Max and to lesser extend Bar 92.

After the Spanish period, Johnny decided with his wife Houben, who is also one of Belgium leading jockies, that it was time for a new chapter in his career, the move to the England with all his racing history. UK Jockey Jimmy Fortune was a big motor behind this move.

Currently Johnny is riding for Walter Swinburn, where he is also an exercise jockey, Peter Harris, leading owner of Nichinski. Also he is one of the selected riders of a racing syndicate called Diamond Racing. He has faced all famous jockies in the world, including Frankie Dettori! Best victory yet in England was winning the is William Rhodes Maiden Stakes with Alpine Reel(IRE), where Johnny got preference over first choice jockey, Jimmy Fortune.

This year we hope will be a big year for Johnny Dekeyser in England. We will see him riding in one of the festivals and races that are broadcasted by the BBC!

Johnnie is also a player in the Sim. His main stable is johnny and he is residing in the BeNeLux residency, the only real European Dutch spoken residency in the sim. He won several GradeII races, and his best simhorse is his home bred #ID 16318 DR. JOHN.
